Jetstar Expands Flights to the Cook Islands: More Seats for Australian Travelers
Jetstar Airways was thrilled to announce additional flights to the Cook Islands, catering to the growing popularity of this stunning South Pacific destination among Australian holidaymakers.
Starting from March 27, 2024, Jetstar will introduce a fourth weekly service between Sydney and Rarotonga, the largest of the Cook Islands.
The new flights will add 24,000 seats annually to the Cook Islands Route and comes just in time for the Easter Holidays. Jetstar's inaugural non-stop service between Sydney and the Cook Islands launched in June last year and maked a significant moment for Australian Aviation, The First Australian Airline since Ansett in the early 1990's, Jetstar will use their new state of the art Airbus A321neo LR Aircraft on the Route.
Flight JQ141: Sydney to Rarotonga (Cook Islands), departing on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Friday, and Sundays at 21:30.
Flight JQ142: Rarotonga (Cook Islands) to Sydney, departing on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Friday, and Sundays at 09:00.
Jetstar’s Executive Manager, Customer, Jenn Armor, expressed delight at the route’s success so far, emphasizing the allure of Rarotonga’s white sand beaches, crystal-clear waters, and warm climate. Graeme West, General Manager Australasia at Cook Islands Tourism, echoed this sentiment, celebrating the positive impact on the local economy.
